Learn more about your Catonsville insurance agent.
Hi, I'm Matt Hauser, and I'm your GEICO Insurance Agent serving Central Maryland. My office opened in 2001 and had the distinction of being the first GEICO Insurance Agency to open in Maryland. In 2002, I was awarded the GEICO Outstanding New Representative award. I hold undergraduate degrees in accounting and business management as well as the insurance industry's professional designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). I have also completed advanced certification programs at Ohio State University and at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Several of the agents in my office have more than 20 years of insurance experience. By explaining coverage options, providing prompt service, and working hard to maximize discounts, my agents can offer you the exceptional value you want from your insurance company.
Matt is involved in the Catonsville community.
Helping people in my community is one of my chief priorities. I support the Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Howard Country school systems. Since 2005 I have supported the PTSA-sponsored after-prom parties for high schools in Howard County. These parties offer a safe alternative for students to discourage drinking and driving after prom. I was awarded the Governor's Volunteer Service Award for the State of Maryland for my consistent sponsorship of these events. Additionally, I'm an active member of the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the BWI Business Partnership which recognized me as their 2017 Member of the Year.
The Catonsville office supports the Military.
Many government and Military families live and work in the Maryland and DC metro areas. GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company) was founded to serve those who serve the nation. My office serves Fort Meade, MD and the NSA, so we specialize in applying all appropriate government and Military discounts to your policies. I currently serve as the president of the Francis Scott Key Fort Meade Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). For over 10 years, I have coordinated the annual AUSA golf tournament for the local chapter, which has raised over $75,000 for the benefit of Wounded Warriors and other Service Members and their families in this area. For my support for the Military, I was awarded the Department of the Army, Commander's Award for Public Service medal.
